A privileged situation between Mediterannean Sea and mountain

LOCATION

Puimisson, the village of the estate, is located 12 km on North of Béziers on the D 909 road to Bédarieux. A privileged situation between Mediterannean Sea and mountain…

The parcels, 100 metres of altitude, are around an ancient place for the rest of horses who used to work in the vineyards until 1960, a place called “Bassac“.

They stretches over the old terraces of the Libron, a little stream running close to the Thongue and are established on old alluvial terraces built by the small river Libron which takes its source further north in the massif of Caroux, one of the last foothills of the Massif Central.

The soils here are of limestone-clay originating from ancient Quaternary alluvial terraces

TERROIR

It was the long and gradual sculpting of the landscape by rivers and streams flowing down from the Massif Central area that produced the contours of this well-exposed piedmont plain, where the estate has its 20 hectares (49 acres) of vines.

The soils here are of limestone-clay originating from ancient Quaternary (Villafranchian stage) alluvial terraces. Stony and very well-drained, they benefit from a good supply of water, which enables them to withstand even the driest summers and deliver well balanced and structured wines.
